Indonesia Earns Gold, Three Bronzes at AMMA Championships in China

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) team returned home with one gold and three bronze medals from the 3rd AMMA Championships 2026 in Luzhou, China, marking a significant achievement on the international stage.

The gold medal came courtesy of Delvi Nurfadillah, who triumphed in the Traditional MMA 49 kg category.

“The turning point came when I was taken down. I chose to stay calm and trust my training. That gave me the chance to lock in an omoplata,” Delvi said in a written statement on Monday, January 19, 2026, as quoted by

Antara, reflecting on the decisive moment in the final.

“For me, the key to victory lies in composure, reflexes built from training, and the ability to make quick decisions in critical moments,” she added.

Her dominant performance earned Delvi the Most Outstanding Athlete Award, recognizing her refined technique and consistency throughout the tournament.

The three bronze medals were secured by: Vallensia Fahira Hotmauli (Modern MMA 54 kg, women’s), Maydelse Sitepu (Modern MMA 60 kg, women’s), and Dwi Ani Retno Wulan (Traditional MMA 54 kg, women’s).

This success provides valuable momentum for Indonesia as the team prepares for the 2026 Asian Games qualifiers. The national federation, PERTACAMI, has set its sights on qualifying as many athletes as possible and making a strong impact at the Asian Games and other major continental championships. ***
