During the visit, the minister emphasized that Sumedang has the potential to become a leading cultural destination in Southeast Asia. Its historical sites and living traditions reflect the richness of Sundanese civilization within Indonesia’s diverse cultural landscape.

The Indonesian government views palace revitalization as a strategic effort to safeguard collective memory amid rapid modernization. Keraton Sumedang Larang is positioned as a regional hub for cultural preservation with global relevance.

Fadli Zon encouraged the palace to function as a center for intergenerational knowledge transfer in the coming years. This approach is expected to empower younger generations to become active stewards of traditional culture.

Preserving cultural ecosystems, according to the minister, is essential to protecting heritage values over the long term. Royal institutions continue to play a vital role in maintaining historical continuity and cultural authenticity.
